Can't change language filter settings for usernames?

Using ES 5.3.2 and and corresponding air admin interface I am trying to disable ES from applying a word filter to usernames, since the default word filter is preventing some of my users from logging in (Who are iranian, and so have names which are perfectly sensible in their language).
I go into the chat filters tab, select "View filter settings" and switch the "Filter User Names" radio button to "Disabled". Click save. When I return to this menu after saving the setting has reverted to "Enabled". If, after saving, I restart ES the setting has not taken effect. It makes no difference if I subsequently click "Update" or not. Can this be reproduced, or have I done something stupid?

It's unclear how long this apparent bug has been keeping users out of my site. Not a fan. I imagine I can probably work around this by manaully changing the ES setting database (At least, that is what I am now going to try and do).

Using the DbUtility to manually change the appropriate fields in the database did the trick, so the remaining problem (If there is one) is that the air admin seems to strangely have a glitch preventing it from being able to alter that setting.

Thanks for the bug report (and the workaround). I'll add a ticket to get it fixed.
