    5.2 remote admin failures

I have installed Electroserver 5.2 (non-JVM) on a server (no local display) and set it up to allow remote administaration. I have previously installed version 5.1 and 4.0.6

I transferred both the es5-airadmin-5.2.0.air and the webadmin directories to my desktop workstations.

The webadmin server starts in my firefox browser, but fails to connect to the server

The AIR installation file fails to install using adobe air, having a few GVFS errors and finally bombing out with a "Unable to Install..." Error #1

However I can seem to connect and even administrate the 5.2 server using the pervious 5.1 ES5admin client, but I am told that it is not actually setting things right!

I need help in getting either of the 5.2 admin clients working!

Do you have AIR 2.0 or later installed on the desktop that is trying to run the ES Admin? I suppose it's possible that your installation has a corrupt AIR file or that it was corrupted when you copied it from the remote server to your desktop - you could try a fresh download to your desktop, or just wait for the announcement that ES5.2.3 is released (coming SOON!). For the webadmin, check your Flash global security settings. See ES Admin won't connect for details.

I find that, when using the .swf version of the webadmin, you must add it to the list of trusted locations here:

Before it will function at all.

If you are running the web admin from your hard drive, yes, you have to set the Flash player global security settings. If you are running it from a webserver you don't need that. I almost always use the AIR app myself.

Where do you set the Electroserver to allow remote administration? Are you not suppose to just add a new server in your old ES5Admin air client? I can't connect to my remote ES5 either.
