Help moderator stuff

Hi congratulation for the team electrotank really good program ... thanks for all

My question is about the moderator and tutorial about your produce needed.

How configured the moderator on the electrotank server :

1= edit the configuration.xml
<Moderators>
<Moderator>
<Username>ExampleModerator</Username>
Password</Password>
</Moderator>

</Moderators>
2= edit the serversetting under you application swf folder?

<ServerSettings>
<IP>dns or ips or localhost(127.0.0.1 or ipserver from the lan)</IP>

<Moderator>
<Username>ExampleModerator</Username>

</Moderator>

</Moderators>




I have restart the electroserver and how the moderator stuff run????

Form flash i put the password on the timeline image "Login" instance Password

When i try to login on the application flash nothing happen?
How work the moderator on the chat???
Wat tool? Exemple? plz help me...

Hi Maximus,
welcome to the community,

You asked about very interesting topic,
In ES docs (html page included with installation) You should find many usefull info about what moderators can do and what not.
when moderator login there is no need for anything special accept that moderator has to fill password (normal user has to fill only login name).

Next, look at the example files provided with ES installation. Jobe has already put something moderator option in those files,
hm, that's all I can help for now,
hope somebody post more becouse I'm interested in that topic too,

Hi Maximus,

You now we are the pioneers here so let's make some explore:

go to YOur installation folder, something like here:
[...]\Electrotank\ElectroServer 3\Examples\Flash MX\Basic Chat

open chat.fla
#3
go to "login" frame. As You see Jobe posted short info about moderator option,
next

go to "chat" frame.
In upper left corner there is a attached mc: "popup" double click to open it:

in opened "popup" mc go to frame "Moderator"
and see example code posted there,

Hi Maximus,
hm,
in my installattion folder there is a chat.fla located as follows:
C:\Program Files\Electrotank\ElectroServer 3\Examples\Flash MX\Basic Chat\chat.fla

I mentioned about frame "login" only becouse Jobe write some info on that frame.
That chat.fla movie is divided into frames like: "loader", "code", "connecting" etc,
In our case we are interested only in those frames: "login" and "chat"

Hello Maximus,
You must run at least two instances of sample chat.fla file.
Please run one movie and login as moderator (login name and password defined in configuration.xml).
run another movie and login with any login name,
go to Your movie when You are logged in with moderator option.
Now click on user list picking that 'normal' user.
You should see moderator window with some options like: private message, warn and kick,
