Hi Mike/Jobe,

When is ES4 due for release?

and also if I buy a ES3 license now will it work with ES4 when it's released?

Hi,

We have no official date for the ES 4 release that you can count on. All I can say is that it will probably be late winter or early spring...but we are not sure.

The ES 3 license file will not work with ES 4. You'll need a new license.

In es4 will actionscript 2.0 be an option when writing plug-ins.

No, sadly we won't be able to support actionscript 2 in ES4. We are debating about adding support for some other languages though (TCL, REXX, + others). On the plus side, Actionscript plugins in ES4 will actually compile to native Java classes and so the performance is even better and you will be able to access the native Java libraries as well as the ElectroServer Java apis.
