I could just be extremely dense and I apologize now if this ends up being the case, but isn't true that Apple released a Java 1.6.0_05 patch this past summer for OSX?
If that did really happen, can ES4, which required Java 1.6, now run properly within OSX?
And if so, can we have the Installer now?
Thanks,
Matt

The "Any Unix" version of ElectroServer 4.0.5 runs fine on my MacPro/Leopard.
You'll need 64bit CPU and Leopard to install java 1.6. The most current version is 1.6.0_07.

We do not have an official OS X installer available yet as plugins written in Actionscript will not yet work.
(When Apple packaged their JDK, they did not include the jars to support this like Sun did .. its a "bonus feature" of Sun's JDK to show off the scripting engine)
We plan on including the necessary jars in a future release. Until then OS X support is "unofficial" via the unix tarball as h1280 pointed out.
