1. Can I link to Mini Golf from my website?
You may link directly to any web page on Electrotank. Linking directly to a game file or any other file is both illegal and breaks our Terms of Service.

2. When trying to play multiplayer I see "connection failure" or "waiting for response". Is this my fault? What is going on?
This can happen for one of two reasons:
1. Firewall port 1024 restriction: Your computer can only connect to the multiplayer system if either you have no firewall or if your firewall will allow connections to port 1024. The solution is to contact your network administration to remove this restriction.
2. The multiplayer server is down. In this case please report this issue immediately, email us and we will fix the server.

3. Why won't the game load correctly? I am seeing odd behavior.
If the game does not seem to be loading properly and/or your are experiencing odd behavior, then you most likely need to install or re-install the Flash player. It is possible that you have the Flash player but do not have the most recent version. To install the Flash player click here.

4. Is there a downloadable version of Mini Golf?
The only downloadable version of Mini Golf that we have available right now is a 3 hole demo of the current course. However, we are working very hard to produce a new Mini Golf course that will be available for purchase and download on Electrotank.

5. Can I buy Mini Golf?
No. A personal license is not available at this time although we are working on a version of Mini Golf that will be available for purchase and download. . For information on licensing Mini Golf or any other of Electrotank's games for use on a website contact us at email us.

6. Can I license Mini Golf for my company website?
Yes! All games found on Electrotank are available for license and customization for use on a website. For information on cost and options please contact us at email us.

7. Sometimes the character gets in the way of the ball, what can I do about this?
A little known feature in Mini Golf is the use of the SHIFT key. If you hold down the SHIFT key your character will turn invisible while the aiming arrow still shows. This feature comes in pretty handy!

8. Can I play with more than 2 people at once?
No. Right now Electrotank only supports games as single player or 2 player. We have the technology to extend this and have plans to although it will not be in the near future.

9. Is there a way to manually move the screen to view the entire hole?
Yes. Use the LEFT, RIGHT, UP, and DOWN arrow keys to move the screen around. While the arrow key is pressed you may move the screen as far in any direction as you would like. If the ball is still on the screen then after you release the arrow key the screen will stay where you have nudged it. If the ball was not on the screen (or not within the minimum accepted margins) then the screen will automatically move to place the ball on the screen again.

10. Sometimes I accidentally click on the page links while playing Mini Golf. Will you fix this?
We do not plan to. There is no way for a link to know whether it was clicked intentionally or not.

11. How does the high score work?
When you play a game of Mini Golf your score is kept. If you are playing in single player mode and your are logged in, then at the end of your game your score will automatically be submitted to the high score list (of course, lower is better in golf). If your name is already in the list with a certain score, then that score may not be repeated in the list by you (so you will not show up in the list twice with -5 although there may be 10 people who have also scored -5). Every time your score is unique it is added to the list.

9. How is Mini Golf scored?

1. What does stroke mean?
Hitting a golf ball 1 time with a putter (golf club designed for precise shots) is called a stroke. This word, in Mini Golf, is synonymous with putt, hit, and shoot.

3. What does par mean?
Every hole in golf is tested many many times by several people. The number of strokes that it should take an intermediate level player to sink the ball is considered par. A hole might have a par of 4 although it can be finished in 2 or 3.

4. What does birdie mean?
A birdie is the name associated with sinking a ball in one stroke under par. If par for a hole is 4 and you sink it in 3 strokes, then you have birdied that hole.

5. What does eagle mean?
You are said to have eagled a hole if you sink the ball in 2 strokes under par. For instance, if the hole is par 4 and you sink the ball in 2 strokes, then you have eagled the hole.

6. What does bogie mean?
A bogie is the name associated with sinking a ball in one stroke over par. If par for a hole is 4 and you sink it in 5 strokes, then you have bogied that hole. In the same way, 2 strokes over par is a double bogie.

7. What does ace mean?
An ace is when you sink the ball in only one stroke.

8. What does hole-in-one mean?
A hole-in-one, synonymous with ace, means you have sunk the ball in just 1 shot.

9. How is Mini Golf scored?
Your score starts at 0. There are 18 holes in Mini Golf. Each hole has a pre-set par that is displayed. While you play each hole the total number of strokes are tracked. When you sink the ball the Par for that hole is subtracted from your total number of strokes for that hole and the result is added to your total score. So if you sink the ball in 2 strokes on a Par 4 then -2 is added to your score. In Mini Golf the lower the score the better!

1. Why am I getting this error: "The MGS.EXE file is linked to missing export DDRAW.DLL:DirectDrawCreateEx"?
2. When launching Mini Golf Gold I get this error: "ERROR LOADING EMBEDDED FILE DIRECTORY", why?
3. Why do I receive this error: "Your registration key has just been established as being invalid by the Electrotank servers"?
4. When will the multiplayer feature in Mini Golf Gold no longer available?

1. Why am I getting this error: "The MGS.EXE file is linked to missing export DDRAW.DLL:DirectDrawCreateEx"?
This is typically seen on older version of Windows (98, ME). It is indicative of a too-old version of Direct X or some other computer trouble. The solution is simple, install the latest version of DirectX. Go here to do that. Once you have done this you may have to reboot your computer but the game will work.

3. Why do I receive this error: "Your registration key has just been established as being invalid by the Electrotank servers"?
This error most likely occurs when you have exceeded their maximum # of installs. You should review the license agreement to see that you only have a limited # of installs per registration keys.

4. When will the multiplayer feature in Mini Golf Gold no longer available?
